Zandria Robinson has been the source of significant controversy for many radical comments she has made, primarily on social media. In a 2015 blog post for example, Robinson claimed that most graduate programs are located in “white mayo bum fuckery township,” or “whiteheterolandia.” She also tweeted that “so much racist ass social science gets perpetuated because reviewers themselves are racist as fuck. Because white.”
In Facebook posts Robinson also held that she did not want her child to attend school with “snotty privileged whites,” that “whiteness is most certainly and inevitably terror,” and that white people are “conditioned to commit mass murder.” Following these posts, Robinson was widely condemned within the academic community itself, and her academic profiles were removed from her former employer’s website at the University of Memphis, which tweeted that she was no longer employed there.
