Prof. Chikindas came to attention following the release of social media posts he wrote containing anti-Semitic content. The posts, from his since deleted Facebook account, included allegations such as blaming the Armenian genocide on Jews, describing Judaism as “the most racist religion in the world,” and calling Israel a “terrorist country aimed at genocidal extermination of the land’s native population, Palestinians.”

He has also claimed that Israel was failing in their attempted “extermination” due to “the number of the Jews of alternative sexual orientation,” later adding that “Israel, the country of the Jews and for the Jews, has one of the highest percentages of gays in the world.” Additionally, Chikindas has shared an interview with Christopher Bollyn, a conspiracy theorist known for his claims that American Jews and Israel were responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

Following the publication of an anti-Israel post, Chikindas wrote that, “these Jewish mother*****s do not control me. They can go f**k each other in their fat a***s – you see, I really do not have anything to loose (sic).” Reached for comment, a spokesperson for Rutgers said that “Professor Michael Chikindas’ comments and posts on social media are antithetical to our university’s principles and values of respect for people of all backgrounds.” Chikindas is currently under review by the university.[1]
